Do you read the terms of service for all the websites you use, or do you simply click “I agree” and go on with your business? As I discuss in this post about online terms of service, although you probably don’t read online terms, they’re usually enforced by courts. But who has time to read online terms closely enough to know what you’re agreeing to?
That’s the issue TOSSOS is trying to tackle. Type in the web address of an online application, and TOSSOS displays a summary of some of the highlights of the website’s terms of service, privacy policy, and other end user contract documents. Here’s an example of the TOSSOS highlights of Twitter’s terms.
What do you think? Have you used TOSSOS?

After law school, I financed my first car and sat in the dealership readying every word; now, much to my chagrin, it’s all too easy to click “I Agree” on websites. Thank you very much for posting this article and giving us the link to TOSSOS; I was not familiar with this website, but the website could be very useful in the furture. It’s in my favorites! Mark
